    Dogs: See notices displayed prominently in the village for where dogs may be off or on leash or where they are not permitted for environmental reasons. View Regulations.

  • Baboons & monkeys: Do not leave fruit out; keep domestic waste indoors; lock up and shut windows if going out. See guidelines and regulations

    Rubbish: Bins/bags out only on collection days (baboon problem); alternatively deposit bags at Waste Transfer Site in Forest Drive. See guidelines and regulations

    Speed limit: 40kmh; please be aware of children and wildlife

    Hiking: Campsite and Nature’s Valley Trust offices have trail maps (NB. Salt River coastal access is closed by rockfall)

  • River mouth: Opening by public strictly prohibited. See guidelines and regulations

    Sewage: Proof of prepayment needed for municipal ‘honey sucker’ service. See details. NB: Normal rate has increased from R493.62 to R497.54  Two days notice.

  • Water: Limited supply from river; please use sparingly

    Camping: No camping is allowed in the village area.
